Her strong passion for orthodontics motivated her to pursue post-graduate training–she then completed a fellowship in Craniofacial and Surgical Orthodontics at Jacobi Medical Center.ĭr. Raquel moved to New York City, completed her general practice residency, and was accepted into the Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Program at Bronx Care Health Systems. She then received her Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine.Īfter her dental school training, Dr. Raquel Fontanez was born and raised in Puerto Rico and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico.
